BOCA CHICA BEACH

Known as the beach of the city of Santo Domingo, Playa Boca Chica is only 30 km east of the Dominican capital, located in the bay of San Andrés.

A beach of fine white sand where every weekend a multitude of people gather, looking for a splendid day at the beach in the refreshing tropical waters of the Caribbean. It is one of the most familiar beaches in the area, as the water is shallow and the bottom is sandy.

It is also a very well known beach where you can find street vendors offering everything from massages to seafood and necklaces. There are also a great variety of restaurants in the area where you can try the national cuisine.

It is also a great place to sail around the area and discover the beauty of Santo Domingo’s tropical coast from the sea. Only 400 meters from the coast a coral reef in the shape of a half circle runs along the beach, so the waters that reach the shore are very calm.
